HALL OF HOLLOW SOULS: Explained
Produced by BXXNOSE
'BLOCK ME OUT' was made in 2023 with Keagamii. At the time he was one of my only friends, as I had just recently quit hard drugs and was trying to stay away from people who reminded me of the past when I saw them.
We both at the time still struggled with demons, and I inevitably went back to pills and alcohol. I could feel myself slipping again, but I had to do something to help the people around me or my life would be meaningless.
The verse was created spontaneously when Keagamii went outside for a smoke. It discusses knowing the fact ur fucked in the head mentally, and craving escapism through recreational drugs, but this has a fateful result in death. If you listen to it you will die. But it also accepts that everyone will die one day, and no matter how hard you try to help or give someone advice, they will do what they want at the end of the day. It’s a sad realisation, but the creation of the song hopes to speak to the listener when they need that advice more than ever and are finally ready to accept the help.
KEAGAMII’s insight-
“I don't know what to say other than I was depressed and I freestyled about how my ex blocked me out, N' I only love her in my entire lifetime”.
