 HALL  OF  HOLLOW  SOULS: Explained

UNKNOWN
Feat. A.M Y

Produced, mixed and mastered by
ICEYSLURKIN

In ‘UNKNOWN’, myself and A.M Y converse about the concept of different alters/personas, often linked to mental health diagnosis’ such as Dissociative Identity Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder.

The stigma around diagnosis’ such as these makes people think someone with these are bad/evil people. But people who have such mental health conditions is a result of extreme trauma stemming back to childhood, alongside a lack of support from mental health organisations, and a lack of understanding in terms of coping mechanisms.

A.M Y’s views-

“It's about how others see or perceive us. We don't always feel strong or free. Others judge

us before knowing our story or even understanding how the world is through our eyes, especially through different alters. It's about how not everyone can see all of us, and they judge or misunderstand us, or call us names in the shadows.

We wrote these lyrics to try to help the world understand our view, or who hears them, to know that we all have struggles, and showing love,

not hate towards others is key.

We are in a continuous struggle with each of

our selves

"Amy, Luna, Jade and others"

We each have feelings and need to be loved, not hated, and feel safe to express our unique selfs.

We look for answers in the world but sometimes we have learned that not everything has an answer, or needs to be fixed. We are one mirror and many parts of the same mirror too".
