 HALL  OF  HOLLOW  SOULS: Explained

HALŌWEEN
Feat. SSIIXX

Produced by SSIIXX

This song was recorded a few days before Halloween and it was the first time being able to fully embrace talking about addiction in a past tense.

Halloween is a time when people either go out or isolate themselves, hence the call of action to reach out and check up on the people you care about.

At the time, SSIIXX and myself were going through relationship issues which were having a negative effect on our energy, but in the song, we are both explaining different ways in which people cope with this. People either focus on self-care or self-destruction. Both states are understandable, but also very apathetic ways of getting over heartbreak.

Shortly after I left the studio I heard that a relative had died, hence ‘HALŌ’ in the title. This song literally represents the death of anyone someone cares about, and a longing to not want to lose anyone else, whether they are a righteous person or not, that all goes out the window when u realise that death is permanent.

SSIIXX’s insight-

“I heard what ICEY did and that inspired me then to come with a flow and just have a lot of fun on the beat!”
